Anyone have a solution? Here is our problem in a nutshell...
The student participates in several activities throughout the course (some activities are outside of Moodle, although the instructions for these are in Moodle).
Once all activities are completed they should get a certificate, but the teacher needs to verify that the students have actually done all of the activities (again some are outside of Moodle) before they can get the certificate.
We have tossed up emailing them an activity checklist that is eventually signed off by the facilitator, which they then upload and once they have completed this step, they can access the certificate. But none of the Moodle activities would work like this apart from posting a forum discussion thread & attaching their file (most activities require a view of the activity or a grade prior to marking it complete, the forum can be marked completed upon one posting a new discussion). The later is not ideal (just a dirty workaround) as it has privacy issues for participants where they can see who has uploaded their verified checklists.
The only solution we can find is to create a seperate course for the certificate and entry to this course is only permitted upon completion of the first course, markign the first course complete would be a manual process for the teacher.
Surely there is an easier way?
