Moodle 2.2 and now 2.4 on ubuntu 10.04.1
I've been running my moodle since 2007 (installed 1.8) and always upgraded the database rather than starting from scratch and importing courses. My moodle is running fine
I back up the database by doing a full sql dump nightly. Before I upgraded 2.2 > 2.3 >2.4 on 4 Feb (just over 3 weeks ago) the size of the backup was about 5 GB. Immediately after, this reduced to 1.5 GB and now it is down to 0.5 GB.
I can restore my backup onto my test server and it looks fine but there are a lot of courses so maybe things are missing that I haven't noticed.
I had a look at /var/lib/mysql and the size of the database folders for live and restored databases are all about the same (around 3MB)
My question is, is this OK???
Anyone else had this experience?
