Thanks. Although I still think it would be nice to choose either "full dropbox" or "app folder", I was mistaken about how my Moodle instance interacts with Dropbox which was the reason for my desire to use the "app folder" setting. It's a bit embarrassing but now that I understand that the app I created with Dropbox simply allows users to connect to their own personal Dropbox account, I have opted to use the "full dropbox" setting. I was, for some reason, under the assumption that I would be sharing an area on my dropbox with all of the users of my Moodle site. blush
