I'm trying to develop a plugin for the Moodle these days. My senario is this.
There are two Moodle servers located in two physical locations. I have used LTI Provider in order to access stuff on one Moodle(Provider) from the other Moodle (Consumer). But this is possible only when interent connection is available. What I want to do is giving the capability of accessing Provider Moodle's stuff via LTI Provider even when internet connection is not available.
First what I thought was to backup stuff( say a course) from the Provider Moodle and Restore it in the Consumer Moodle when there is the internet connection. But this have to be done manually. I want to do it automatically. If I am able to have a function to backup and restore automatically from Provider to Consumer, then I can call it from "cron" method to do it periodically if the internet connection is available.
What I want to know is whether there is a method to automatically backup a course/ quize or etc or do I have to develop it from the beginning?
I'm new to this area, so I would be really gateful if anyone can help me?
