In VET training in Australia, a student may withdraw from a class (Moodle Course) or a course (Moodle group of related courses), or transfer from one course or class to another.
Due to auditing, we must not lose any data that tells us if a student has participated in any course (completed an assessment, quiz, lesson or such), as it helps with funding.
I'm trying to work out how to create a role for Withdrawn Student that overrides the student role so the student can only see the grades they had achieved in the course, but not contribute any further work or similar.
I'm guessing that I'd base it on the student role, but forbid certain items.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
