When a student uploads an image, is there a way to constrain the size or set a defualt size for all image uploads in Moodle? I know resizing can be done during the upload and posting process, but I need to constrain the file demensions for all images that are uploaded to a forum.

Hi Karen,
There's no easy way to limit the width and length but you can limit the file size in the forum settings (to something less than the max file size allowed in the course), for instance to 500 Kb.
Probably, with images, you want to give them a quick set of instructions about how to shrink file size.
