I am cannot seem to get the import grades function to work without using the download grading sheet-modify it-then reupload it. I can't use the grading sheet because it creates temporary user ids that don't allow me to instead use the username or userid fields.
The grading I am doing includes scores and detailed feedback where I need to upload both. The scores are real numbers (1 decimal place), and the feedback is formatted html in a long string.
I have tried saving the file as both CSV and Tab delimited (the latter makes more sense since the feedback usually contains commas), but when I use the Import feature into the gradebook, the feedback doesn't come in.
Can anyone help with this?
By the way, I'm using Moodle 2.4.
