I'm not sure on the upgrade to 2.4. What if I can eliminate the course department level categories? These departments are already available in custom user profiles. That will eliminate the need to split into multiple courses, right?
I was thinking about a Parent/Mentor role for the region/sub-region supervisors to give them access to reports, etc. Then giving the Shop Supervisor a "non-editing teacher" role, and turning all course module (activity) visibilty off by default. This would give each shop supervisor the task of manually turning on department required scorm modules for individual technicians. Would that work?
My other concern is using (region/sub-region) categories as contexts to control higher up supvisors only seeing thier respective regions top to bottom, and no others.
