We don't want the News Forum accessible by our students. So we disable/delete this by setting the number of news items to 0 in the course settings. However - although it still shows the News Block - even privileged news can notnow add news items.
What we want to do is as follows:
- not show the News Forum to students
- show the News block
- only permit privileged users to create news items (e.g teachers)
Any idea on how we do this?
