Hi everyone
We're launching a 'MySQL Moodle Reporting' course on 1st April as part of the MoodleBites series of courses. You can read details here: http://www.moodlebites.com/mod/page/view.php?id=9112
As you can see the course start with introductions to Apache, PHP and MySQL and how they fit together within a Moodle context. We then go into some database management (even creating a miniature Moodle CMS!), and then into SQL queries, and look at some of the key plugins and external tools for reporting.
The course isn't aimed at database gurus, but is aimed at people who know nothing about MySQL reporting (but would like to), through to people who have maybe tried to create reports and struggled, or Administrators who would like to be able to 'dig a little deeper' into reporting.
The course has a launch fee of NZ$399, but I'm going to offer a 50% discount to people here in this Forum only, on the basis that if you enrol in the course (1st April start date only) you get really involved, and give us lots of feedback (this is a strategy we use with all our courses and a key part of our course development methodology). You can just add a note with the code "8044" (the ID of this forum) to get the discount
Apologies that this is half information / half advert, if you are not interested please just ignore the post.
However, if you have questions I'm happy to respond here of couse
Thanks, Stuart (HRDNZ, Moodle Partner, New Zealand)
