General help

I'm trying to install Moodle. I started with the newest version, but after creating database from the web-based first-run installer, moodle starts generating plain html pages, with no theme at all. Even using the theme selector and trying different themes made no changes.

Then I tried different versions, and I found out that Moodle 2.2.6+ works fine.

The system paths in config.php are all set correctly.
