I was wondering if anyone had planned or worked on improvements to the process where you can upload images via the module settings page instead of having to put them directly into your codebase (requiring awkward git branches in our setup).
Here are my thoughts:
- You need to be able to see all of the images uploaded already, perhaps even showing how many times each is used and the ability to delete them (maybe only unused ones?). Zoomable Thumbnails would be terrific.
- You really need to be able to upload multiple files at the same time. The drag/drop widget even says "You can drag and drop files here to add them," but it seems that you can only do one file at a time.
- It would be really great if teachers/course managers could upload images that would only be available for that course, we make custom borders for most courses anyway, so not having them in the list for all courses would be better. Each course already has its own file area in moodle, it seems like it would fit nicely there.
- I was able to get certificates to work pretty nicely with svg images, this allows higher quality and smaller filesize since it's able to remain a vector for the entire process. Is there any other interest in this?
I might have time to work on some of these, we use the certificate module quite a bit so I could find time to help, but I didn't know if there were already some plans or thoughts on how to make improvements in this area.
