We have upgraded to Moodle 2.4 from Moodle 2.3. Our environment is running 5 web servers with 1 MySQL server. However, after the upgrade, we find that Moodle 2.4 is very slow. We obtained better performance after moving the cache folder from network file system to a local folder.
Unluckily, during our stress test, we find that the performance of Moodle 2.4 is poor (comparing to Moodle 2.3) even for 50 concurrent users.
May i ask how to configure the Moodle universal cache for good performance? Shall we use local file system instead of network file system for each Moodle web server? And shall we use memcache?
Thanks for your advice.
