as Gideon rightly says, pressing the "Give Up" button will register a score of "abandoned". Also, if you do not complete the quiz and then start another attempt at the quiz (by refreshing the browser window or leaving the quiz and then trying it again later), the earlier attempts will be marked as "abandoned".
Perhaps you have a long quiz? or a difficult quiz that students are not able to complete?
I am currently working on some enhancements to the module that may be useful in this situation.
- Firstly, the reporting of results will be done every time the student clicks the "Check" button, so the teacher will be able to see the responses to questions that were attempted, even if the whole quiz was not finished.
- Second, I am considering adding a comment box to the feedback popup box, so that if students cannot answer the question, they can write to you to tell you what they are thinking.
