Beginner on Moodle, I'd like to have a good knowledge of Moodle and of Moodle server administration end of March. I'd like to work at least 1hour a day on that goal. I have two laptops :
Laptop 1 : toshiba satellite A100 (dual core/ 1 Go /100Go) , XP and Ubuntu
Laptop 2 : toshiba L850D (AMD A8-4500M/ 8 Go /750Go) , windows 7 pro and Ubuntu
My first question is : Do you think that it could be efficient to set up an environnment like this work like below ?
* The 2 laptops will be connected on a local network.
* Laptop1 would be working on Linux as an Apache webserver with Moodle installed on it
* Laptop 2 : would be my workstation (windows 7 pro) and would be used to develop the moodle website (connection via network to Moodle on laptop1)
Does it have any common sense to do this ?
Do you think that it'd be an efficient solution (not slow) ?
Do you think that a moodle site developped like this can be upload to an hosting company ?
I'm a begginner and today I've a moodle website, on my domain, and I always have problem of speed connection (internet provider) , it's too slow and sometime "frozen".
Thank you very much for your help
