Dear All,

I need to install moodle 2.3. The plan is to run the application server in the VM and Database server in the standalone server.

The moodle will support around 1000 users, with about 200-300 concurent users in the classroom environment.  It will run in Redhat Linux with Apache and MYSQL server.

Could anyone please suggest what will be the ideal specs for the VM for the Application server, and the standalone database server? Memory, size processor etc.

No such formula exist to calculate the hardware specifications for given number of users, total or concurrent.
