I am wondering if there is a way (besides hacking the core) to customize the user profile page? I'm not talking about adding blocks, but actually adjusting the layout, adding breaks and text, moving things around and generally making the user profile page look nicer.

We're moving from Desire2Learn to Moodle and I've got most of the site looking MUCH better (and more organized) than D2L, but the user profiles just look bland and disorganized compared to the nice ones in D2L. 

Any ideas?

Anyone? Is there no way to customize the profile?

If not, is it something we could pay someone to write a plugin for that would give us a more flexible (and nicer looking) profile?

Hi Brian,

besides editing the default user profile page via "Site Adminstration--> Appearance --> Default profile page" you migh do smome very small adjustements such as disabling user profile image.
