I am running into an issue with 2.3.3 (which should have been resolved in MDL-34931). Students are unable to view grades for submitted assignments on topics that have been hidden in the course.
Is there a setting I'm just missing? We have "Show hidden items" set to "show hidden" and "Hide totals if they contain hidden items" set to "Show totals including hidden items", but are still running into the same issue.

Have you unhidden the specific grades in the gradebook? The tracker issue you refer to describes the test case as the assignments are hidden and then the grade items for the assignments are specifically unhidden in the gradebook.

Close but no Cigar... (Ever wonder where that line came from?)
The location mentions a few things about hiding grades but does
not seem to explain why the grade disappears from the grade book
when I hide the assignment. There is also a link there that could have
helped but it didn't... It also doesn't explain how to get grades to
show when the assignments are hidden.
I would like to hide them towards the end of the course so as to not make
students scroll all the way to the bottom to get to the present assignment.
For my students it can be over 100 entries.
I would also like to know why the grades shown are so tiny....
Are we conserving pixels now?

Why should the grade book care if something is hidden ineh assignment list or not?
I can almost see it working if an assignment is cancelled but taht is more rare than wanting a condensed list and able to see the grades.
