Is anyone able to help with the following?
If I want to unenrol all students from a Moodle 2.2.6 course (leaving all other users in place), I do the following:
- From the course, go to Participants link in the Navigation block
- Filter by role (setting it to student)
- Click the edit icon
- Select the students and press the 'remove' button
Unfortunately I have found that this removes the role but not the course enrolment - leaving me with many users in the course who have no role.
Likewise, if I add a student in the same way (via participants>filter to show students>edit>search and add users) they don't appear in the course with a student role.
I'm further confused by the fact that they can subsequently be found in the 'other users' link - more so because they are listed here with a role of 'student'
I would really appreciate some clarification - what exactly is going on here?
