Coursera like Moodle Adaptation

Hello, I would like to adapt my moodle website and I wonder if it is possible. I like the site coursera (https://www.coursera.org/) I would like to know if it is possible to have an introductory page at the beginning as the site coursera (eg https://www . coursera.org /). Then have a page with the current image by course, date and the number of class time (eg https://www.coursera.org/courses). Thereafter when you click on a course we have general information about the course and the instructor with a video course and a place where you can join the course. (Eg https://www.coursera .org / race / sustain). Is it possible with extensions or module to achieve this kind of result in moodle. I work in a school board and we want to adapt the design of the site to make it more functional.

Re: Coursera like Moodle Adaptation

Last year I was trying to change my moodle to coursera style. After couple of months I have to abandon as it became extremely complicated.  Instead I develop a coursera like LMS from scratch. The website is live now at http://www.mentorsnet.org

I am contemplating to open source it.

Dear bnk,

Have you released "http://www.mentorsnet.org" source code?

I really need it, could you give some information?

Thanks.

You might want to checkout the genesis discussion https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=235313

The theme seems to provide most of what you are looking for. I am fairly positive what isn't there could be added by a Moodle theme developer. The front page is highly customizable via the theme.
