I want to change default landing page. I am using VMware. When i tried /var/www/bigbluebutton-default/index.html
It gives me error line1. Here is a snapshot below of error

Your post is puzzeling. Why are you trying to execute index.html -- the error is from trying to run it as a program, not have your web server serve up the file.
BTW, you have the correct file.
If you are having problems editing unix files, then slow down and give yourself a chance to learn how to learn. Use Google to search for resources on "edit unix files"
