Hello I am really happy about how hotpots work on moodle 2.3 now. However, I have a problem with Rottmeier hotpot6 dropdown exercises. I upload these Rottmeier-dropdown files as html (as jcl they will adopt the conventional hotpot-design, it seems), and everything work fine except in one single important aspect: when student click "check", the right answers will be shown and the score will be calculated, just as it should be, but then the page will be close after just a few seconds. The same problem occurs with the "hint" button, but can easily be solved by choosing the option "Wait till student clicks OK". Can anything be done about that? Thanks a lot, Martin Fischer
I will need a couple of days to look at this and work out a fix for the HotPot module. Today is Sunday, so I am going out (to the woods to play!), but I will look at the issue durig the week, and let you know via this forum when a fix is available.
Regarding the output format for the jcl file, you can change the output format if, having added the HotPot activity, you go back to its "Edit settings" page, and select the "DropDown from HP6 JCloze xml" output format. (see screenshot)
thanks for waiting. I have found and fixed the cause of the Rottmeier DropDown JCloze exercises finishing after the first click of a button. Please download the latest version of the HotPot module when you have time, and confirm that your exercises are working as expected now.
Thanks again for bringing this issue to my attention
