Changing $CFG->dataroot In Config File

Hello All,

We are running into some syncing issues with our web servers and are looking to make a change in our config file to rectify the problem.

If we move the moodledata from /home/www/moodledata/ to /home/moodledata, change the $CFG->dataroot value to the new location in config.php, would this impact the Moodle performance? Is there any risk involved?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Brad

Changing $CFG->dataroot should not cause any problems. Just make sure that you put it outside the web root.

It's when you want to change $CFG->wwwroot that things get dirty (MDL-35099)...
