In 1.9, lessons are created as a “compose a webpage” resource. Navigation between lessons (so between separate “compose a webpage” resources) was achieved by created an html based navigation bar at the top of each lesson page that listed and linked to all of the lessons. An example of the link used was: <a href="http://sitename.gov/mod/resource/view.php?id=1478"> Lesson 2. Title</a> where 1478 was the name of the resource for lesson 2.
When I imported that to 2.3 via backup and restore everything looked like it worked perfect. I clicked on the first lesson and all my content and images were there. Even the navigation looked like it was going to work at first glance. However when I looked at the url in this page resource for lesson it was incorrect. Lesson 2 link shows: http://sitename.gov/mod/resource/view.php?id=460 and in the main moodle page for this course Lesson 2 is indeed a resource with id=460. However, the actual URL for that resource is http://sitename.gov/mod/page/view.php?id=460 since it is now a Page resource. Once I changed /resource to /page in the html everything worked perfect. So it seems that in the import process Moodle knows to comvert the old "compose a webpage" resource to a Page resource, and create an link to the new correct new id, but not to update the url from /resource to a /page. Is there a workaround so that will for this other than what I am already doing? Or a better process to achive the results I'm looking for?
