I created a structure of folders and uploaded files into those folders in my private files area. Can I move this complete folder/file structure into my course topic area? I am using Moodle 2.2.

Hi Bryan,
there is no such feature to import a tree from a repository to another, but as a workaround, here is what I'd suggest you to do:
- Go to your private files
- Click the "Download all" button (or Zip a folder)
- Save the zip to your disk
- Navigate to your course and create your File or Folder resource
- Upload the zip in there
- Now unzip the zip
I hope this helps, but please note that there are still a few known bugs, MDL-32639 for instance.
