I have an excel spreadsheet which uses links to the excel file I export from my moodle course.
This allows me to format and colour code the data.
My problem is that I need to only export about 1/3 of the entries in the gradebook and I don't want to export the category totals.
As I need to keep the excel file up to date and need to re-export frequently, it is frustrating to have to tick the items I need as I sometimes miss one or add an extra which then messes up my spreadsheet.
Is there any way of selecting them once and having moodle remember the setting. I have tried using the "categories and items" to hide all the items I don't want but this only has a partial effect -some hidden items disappear from the export list but some don't -strange really.
Plus it is important that the order of the items remains the same but I cannot be sure of what determines this order.
Any ideas?
