thank you for reporting the Strict Standards message. The message is just a warning. It does not prevent the software from working, but of coure it doesn't look to great. I will fix it in due course and update the HotPot module download file.
I will have a look at the use of filters when the navigation setting is one of those you describe. Thanks for th info.
