For the scheme of work, one of our staff is trying to put links to the documents related on her moodle page (e.g. siteurl/mod/pluginfile/.... for a powerpoint within a folder). When you click that link in word (and it opens a new browser instance) it asks you to login to moodle - that's fine. But then it takes you to the homepage as opposed to the resource you specified, which seems counter intuitive.
I've tried doing it with a link to the mod/folder/view.php?id= link and it does the same. Which seems illogical, as if it's forgetting the actual URL I want to end up at post-login.
Even stranger is that when you copy/paste the url into a fresh browser instace (i.e. just loaded, not logged in to moodle) then it takes you to where it should once you've logged in.
Both the above behaviours are consistent with Internet Exporer (8) and Firefox (15). But problems with internet explorer are our concern as that's what we have on all desktops as the default browser (our MIS is poor with non-IE browsers as defaults). This is why the 'continue running this script' popup in IE is pissing most people off, and I sincerely hope it gets fixed in a future (sooner rather than later) release!
I've had a quick look through the forums about the url issue but no sign of anything. Can anyone shed any light? Thanks in advance for suggestions.
