Grading & Certificates - Moodle 2.2

Hello,

I am trying to setup moodle to consider ONLY grades for particular activities.

So, in each unit of my course, i have self-assessments which are quizes. I do not want the grades for those, factored into the final course grade. I would also like to generate a certificate at the end of the coures contingent upon the final course grade (not included these assessment activities).

Can you kindly guide me through doing this?

Thank you

Leah

Hi Leah,

I was able to achieve this by setting up two categories in the grades book.

One was for "graded" activities and the other was for "non-graded" activities.

Each category can be allocated a score that contributes towards the overall course score. By making the "no-graded" category total = 0 the course is subsequently graded only out of those activities located in the  "graded" category.

You can move activities easily into or out of the categories using the move arrow.

Hope this works for you.
