I'm trying to restore a backup of a course with user data and users from a test server running 2.3.2+ to our production server running 2.3.2+.
The problem I'm having is, students are not enrolled onto the course that I'm restoring into. However the lecturers are being restored in as teacher roles.
As a result, all assignments that were submitted are not linked back to the corresponding student when I check it in the gradebook.
I've ran a couple of tests and even created a new course from scratch on the test server. Uploaded an assignment to it and tried to restore to the production server. The student was not added, despite the assignment along with the submission was included.
I've tried to reverse it. Created a new module in our production site, added an assignment submission. Backed it up with user data. Restored it to our test site, and everything restored fine.
The submission is linked to the correct student and the student has been enrolled onto the module.
So, something weird is going on with the production site.
Any insight is appreciated.
