I have a thread / discussion in a forum of one class and I want to move it to the forum of another class.
Can I do this?

You have to be careful here with your terminology - because moving a Forum thread from one Course to another is a completely different task to moving a Forum thread from one Forum to another (within the same Course). And it's best to use the correct term. Note that Class is difficult to interpret because Class has no specific meaning in Moodle, and could be interpreted in different ways.
As a Teacher, you can easily move a thread from one Forum to another - using the "Move this discussion to..." dropdown menu that it shown when viewing a Forum thread
You can move a thread to a different Course by using the Import function in the target Course (you need to be a Teacher in both). You could then use the first technique to move the thread to an existing Forum within the target Course if you wish.
