Greetings - I have been searching through Moodle.org and cannot find this issue. We are in Moodle 2.3 and we build our Moodle rooms, add faculty and add students using an integration with Banner. A faculty member in Physics - has two sections of the same course. Using the Meta Link he added Section 190 to Section 188. He created a quiz and the students in Section 188 can access and take the quiz. The students added through the Meta Link (Section 190) cannot access the quiz. I deleted the MetaLink and then added the section back in. That did not fix the issue. The students are getting an error that says they do not permission for the quiz. Any help you can provide is deeply appreciated.

I have the same problem with quiz, forums.
The solution to this is to check the following setting:-
Site Administration > Plugins > Enrolments > Course Meta link
Make sure that you have not selected 'student' under the 'Roles that are not synchronized'
Make sure your cron runs and then the permission problems should go away.
