In 1.9 there is a setting in Theme Settings called "Hide activity type navigation" (hideactivitytypenavlink) that allows teachers to "Select from whom to hide the activity type (e.g. Quizzes) link in the navigation displayed for activity modules" with the following options in a dropdown menu: "hide from nobody, hide from students, hide from all users".
This is great because it not only shortens the trail of breadcrumbs but also removes access (via a link in the navbar) to the index.php page of whatever module the page happens to be (resource, quiz, forum, whatever).
I wonder if 2.3 has similar functionality.
How can I remove items (especially "Topic X", which serves no purpose for me the way I organize my courses) from the breadcrumb trail in the navbar?
