I'm interested in knowing how the forums in "Using Moodle" are structured and especially their permission settings.
If I'm correct, Using Moodle is a course and there are several forums in this course and subscription mode is probably set to Auto Subscription.
I'm planning to have an expert section on my website (Moodle 2.2), where any one can add a new discussion topic and any one can reply to other's discussion topics.
My questions are:
1. Is the course "Using Moodle" has guest access enabled and if not why is it not asking end users to enrol into this course at the first instance?
2. How do I make any authenticated user to post a new discussion topic and also reply to others discussion topics?
