I have now tried to run the sync instead of having it enrol students when they log in. I have read through the instructions on running the sync program but the instructions say to enter something like:
My hosting service only has one text box for me to enter the cron - the timing of the cron is done through a series of drop down boxes on the cron screen. I asked the hosting companies advice on what should be entered in the box and they advised I should enter this:
curl http://domain.com/scriptname.php
However, when I enter that I get this error message in the email notification after the cron has run:
% Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current
60; Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 0
100 63 0 63 0 0 302 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 318
Command line scripts can not be executed from the web interface
The cron instructions are working fine for other cron jobs. So I am not sure how I set up the url in the cron line to get the sync.php to work.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Nikki
