The Waitlist Notification will not be sent if you do not check "Allow Overbooking" when you set up an F2F session.
Regarding the "booking cancellation email", there is no way that i know of to turn off or hide the "cancel booking" option once a user has registered for a session. The student will always have the option to go back to the session, cancel and then receive an email notification of their cancellation.
