I am now running into issues to where managers and below CANNOT restore their courses and run into a 'Error: This file is bigger than the maximum size'. This error does not happen while I am on the Site Manager account. This error started on Moodle 2.3.1 and was not there with Moodle 2.2.x.
Is Moodle confusing a restore to be part of the users 'quota'? Is there a permission I am missing?
The whole point of setting up the File System/FTP Repository was to keep those files on the system and avoid quotas or putting those files into Moodle.
-> Course in question is ~950MB
Any help would be great.
My current PHP Upload Limit is 96MB. I just tried using a course restore from the FTP repository under the same user in question and it still complains that it is 'bigger than the maximum size'. It almost seems as though that for anyone that isnt a site manager the files in the repository are being considered as 'new' to the system and therefore restricted by the php maximum upload set on the environment/Moodle.
Can anyone confirm this as a bug or have a permission that I haven't checked?
Looking at this further I believe this should be moved to the 'repositories' forum. Would anyone be able to do this for me? The initial problem I thought began with the course restore but it looks more of a problem with the File System Repository.
it seems that linking to a file in the file system repository does not bring up the same error. I am not sure how the filepicker has changed, but it seems as though coure restoration is automatically making a 'copy' of the file and therefore throwing the maximum size error.
