A faculty asked me this question today. She would post/upload assignment/quiz answer keys from time to time on Moodle, however she would like students to be able to access it for viewing ONLY and make the keys unprintable, undownloadable, and screenshot proof. Is this possible? Any thoughts or comments? Thanks!
My initial thought is no, this is not possible, and that it is not a Moodle issue it is a web issue. Thge logic is this: It must be somewhere ON your PC to show, and therefore get -atable.
Or captureable by a cell phone camera maybe?
I am reminded of an old joke. Supposedly true. "I was visiting my old (former) economics prof, when I saw a recent final exam. Those are the same question I had, was my comment. Ah he said, in economics we change the answers"
If you don't want people taking creating images of information, don't show it to them. You absolutley cannot prevent people creating images of things that have been on their computers.
Do NOT assume you can use technology or cleverness and you students will not work out how to circumvent it. Shortly after person somewhere circumvents it, so will everyone else. Derek is correct.
Well-answered, Derek and Marcus.
