Moodle & Mahara are both installed and running on the same Windows server, LDAP authentication enabled and working and they’ve exchanged keys for networking – but when I go to the peer > services tab in Moodle 2.3 it hangs for about 10 seconds then loads an error page saying the connection was reset – Apache has crashed and restarted on the server (without an error log entry).
Working through admin/mnet/services.php I get to line 44 - before this information is being passed, but when it hits this it crashes.
$mform = new mnet_services_form(null, array('peer' => $mnet_peer)); Commenting this line out I just get a blank page, no crash.
As a possibly related error the Apache error log throws up the following each time it restarts:
[ssl:warn] [pid 3284:tid 1772] AH02292: Init: Name-based SSL virtual hosts only work for clients with TLS server name indication support (RFC 4366)
As far as I can tell the virtual host details are specified correctly (I Googled the error and followed what I understood from forums about TLS). OpenSSL is installed and working.
Can anyone offer advice on what next - is either of these a red herring - or is there something else I should be looking for in the server configuration?
We’re on Windows 2003 (SP2), Apache 2.4, PHP 5.4.3, Moodle 2.3.1, Mahara 1.5
