Gradebook

Greetings all,

I need to (manually) enter some practice AP essay scores into gradebook, which range from 0 to 9. I want to "curve" the grade by making a 7 count as a perfect score, and with 8s and 9s counting for extra credit.

I think I'm getting tripped up by the maximum score rule, which reverts any 8 or 9 score I enter to a 7 (which is currently set as the maximum score). Is there any way to get around this? Note that in my gradebook these essay scores are stored as Manual Items, since I use Turnitin.com to evaluate the essays before translating the scores over to Moodle.

Any ideas would be appreciated!
