Hi there,

we're trying to develop a quiz for our fellow students, however encountered one severe problem.

An example:

Question 1: What is x=3+5?

Obviously the correct answer would be 8. If the student enters a 6, it is incorrect which moodle tells correctly. Now our problem is with the follow up question.

Question 2: What is y=x+2?

The correct answer would be 10, since the x calculated in Question 1 was 8. Now, if the student miscalculated the result in the first question to 6, he might enter a value of 8. In general this is of course incorrect, however, regarding his calculated result from Question 1, his answer to Question 2 would at least be correct.

What I like to do is give im zero points for the first question, but full points for the second one, since he used his result from Question 1. Currently I don't see any possibility in moodle, to use references within formulas linking to previous answers. Is there any?
