Sorry for the dumb question. Believing that the answer is very short, I thought of posting here rather than reading the API.

Typically, I upload temporary attachments to a web server and post only the URL. If the recipient is interested he can click. If not he doesn't have to wait for the download to finish neither forced to look at the attachment. That was in 1.x. Moodle 2.x does the opposite, as in the example below (I pasted the URL only).

How can I switch off this "feature"?

Disable the 'Convert URLs into links and images' filter?

Hi Dan

Thanks! This is the site wide setting "Site administration -> Advanced features -> Plugins -> Filters -> Convert URLs into links and images", right? But then my URL not even linkex, I see the URL as normal text.
