Let's say we have an existing website, is it possible to put ONLY Moodle registration form in it and store all the data in our moodle database.
There is an easy presentation aspect (how it looks to the user) and a difficult security aspect (how you handle unforeseen attacks and exploits of the registration process).
Writing code to put IDs directly into the database is meddling with the difficult stuff, and will sentence you to continually retesting and maintaining security. Using one of the existing authentication options (see MoodleDocs) is much less work and lower risk.
It's much easier to reshape the Login page and to place it on a different website. There has been some discussion of this in this forum.
I think we are well aware about the security, what am I trying to point out is can I make or implement certain Forms (eg. registration form) with authentication (if possible) outside moodle but would update the moodle database.
If that is possible,
> what would be the commands, functions or files we are going to use?
> what are the tables in the database affected when that happens?
Thank you in advance.^^,
