I got this in my email today from the moodle.org digest

any way to prevent these types of spam/identify thefts?

Yep- got one as well. Not sure how often the Moodle forums get spun, but from my experience any given Wordpress site will attract at least half a dozen of these per week. Botters will be botters angry.
