the "xml error- invalid token" error usually is due to some "not-allowed" char in the xml file moodle.xml (some control character pasted or something similar).
To solve it you should:
- Unzip your zip backup file.
- Edit moodle.xml (don't use the Notepad!).
- Goto the line showed in the error message.
- Search for any wrong character and "destroy it".
- Save changes.
- Zip everything.
- Try it again.
