Connecting moodle to a network

Im not sure if this is the right place but if anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.

Im setting up a small moodle server at the moment and i cant seem to connect to it from accross the internet/intranet. I have a feeling its something to do with the config file not telling it where on the network it is but im not good with that sort of thing.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Brad

Think, for an accurate direction, might need a little more information ... like what was used to install Moodle (which relates to operating system) and thus the specifics to 'fixing'.  Sounds like it's either the Windows (XAAMP) package found here on Moodle.org or MAMP (Macintosh).

In either case might want to review:

http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/Complete_install_packages_for_Windows#Security_matters_.28A_MUST_READ.21.29

and http://www.apachefriends.org/en/faq-xampp-windows.html

While first link talks about Windows, same is true for the MAMP version.

http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/Complete_Install_Packages_for_Mac_OS_X

"The complete install packages for Mac OS X are named Moodle4Mac. These do not have sufficient security for public, production servers--only use for private, local testing purposes."
