Hi

i an working on a moodlle site, and so far, thing go almost smoothly.

 

Exept i can find a simple way to have clean simple file exchange between student and teacher.

 

Teacher can upload but student still cant. i get the damn 

"Sorry, none of your current repositories can return external files."

when i try to upload in home/my profile/my private files.

I review every single permission and even the "Use uploading in file picker" doesnt help.

Any help using simple word would be appreciated. not that i am dumb but i do feel like a idiot.

got the latest moodle on unix server

fresh install 8 days ago.

Ok - don't kill yourselfsmile I presume you have a variety of repositories enabled in Settings>Site adminstration>Plugins>Repositories>Manage repositories. 

Have you checked (though I presume from your post that you have) searched in Define roles for student that you have "allow" for the various repository capabilities?

I already did all this.

for Repository plugin name i didnt put anything.

Do i continue to saw-off my leg or can you still help me : )))

FOUND IT! after 18h i found it, it was not at the obvious of course for while i was looking into permission, i never tought to change the same things in Role manager.

I would love to hear the story of this redondant system of right assigment.

I took student A, he upload a .jpg on his private files server.

great.

Now student go to the forum, make comment and try to add is .jpg
but he cant because when he get to the part where you choose the .jpg from the server, the server is empty, even is private file server is empty.

I did put a file there, save it and saw it. Now, why cant the student see his own file in the forum od the course ?
