PAYPAL ERROR: Transaction is being repeated!

I'm setting up a new Moodle instance and course, and enabling the Paypal plugin. After sucessfully configuring everything, I tested as a new student to purchase the course. From the student perspective, everything functioned as expected, but I recieved an email from Moodle stating: 

PAYPAL ERROR: Transaction [transaction ID #] is being repeated!

I'm doing some aditional tests, but does anyone know how this happens and what triggers this message?

I just tested my site and received the exact same error.  Were you able to resolve this?
