Port 80 error when installing Moodle 2.2 on Windows Server 8

Hello,

I am trying to install Moodle 2.2 on beta version of Windows Server 8. All I did up to this point was downloaded the full package of installation zip folder from Moodle website and upzipped in my computer.

However, When I start moodle I get the following error " Only one usage of each socket adress is normally permitted. : make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80 no listening sockests available, shutting down. Unable to open logs"

I searched around the forum and got some posts about how to configure Moodle 1.9 to use port 8080 instead. But none of these solutions still applied to the new 2.2 version.

In addition, installing Moodle on Windows Server 8 may have others problems because it's still an envalution copy, did anyone ever tried this before, really need some help with this!

Many thanks indeed!

Fred

Which Server are you using to publish your Moodle instance? IIS, WAMP, XAMP?

I used the standard package XAMP inside Moodle installer, I think, when I run Moodle, both IIS and Apache listening to port 80 which only allows one, is there any way to fix this?

Thanks a lot!
