Is there a way to provide a class description and Teacher BIO before asking for paypal payment?

The way I would like to see my Moodle system work is for a visitor to my site to be able to click on the list of courses, select a course and be presented some course information, course description, and a Teacher BIO (these could all dispay on the single page or as links to additional pages) and then if the potential student is interested she can click a link that takes her to the pay pal enrolment page (the page that says "This course requires a payment for entry").

Is that possible with Moodle?

Yes. Each course has a summary section in its settings when it is created and that summary is open to guests and can be accessed from the front page if you have your list of courses. So you can put teacher and course info in there. Then if they like the description they can click to enrol.

Thanks for the reply, Mary.

I tested that. Now when a registered user opens the front page, there is a list of courses at teh bottom of the page. Next to teh class I added is a little blue circle wth an "i" in it. IF I click that, I get teh sumary. If I click the course name I get the Enrolment page. Is that the way it is suposed to work?

If so, I need to find a better solution. That is not real intuitive. Generally, you click the name of a list and get more information about that item. No one is going to click the "i" before clicking the name.

If this is not the way it works generally, tehn perhaps it is a tempalte specific way of handling it. If so I should be able to edit teh template to change where the anchors direct.

Hello again. Whether you see the "i" or information icon or the full summary on the course page depends on the number of courses you have. Perhaps number 3 in the course FAQ here http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/Course_FAQ can help?

I'm sorry, I dont guess I was clear. What I am discribing above is on the Front Page. On teh list of courses on teh Front page of Moodle, I see all the classes listed (only two right now). If I click the name of the class, it takes me to the Paypal enrollment page. If I click the "i" that is next to one class, it opens a pop-up window with the summary.

Did you find a solution to this? I'm finding this a big issue in my site's navigation and perhaps a deal breaker in the upgraded version of moodle. The way it is set up now makes no sense.
